A summary of the story
She was in her parents' home. Alex's mum liked Mr Courtney much better than Barry because Barry was a bit boring.
She had wanted Alex to have an exciting life. Alex couldn't imagine Brad meeting her parents at all. Brad though Alex was strange so he would surely think that her parents were very, very strange. Alex' mum gave her her a birthday present. It was the biggest vase she had ever seen. She got home and took a nap. She woke up at seven o'clock! She was supposed to be meeting Barry in a restaurant. She went there quickly. (Continued next time.)
