Oliver Among the Thieves

A summary of the story
Oliver asked Fagin to let him go out to work with Dawkins and Charley Bates.One morning Fagin allowed Oliver to go. They came out of a narrow street into a square. Oliver looked at them in surpise. The two boys walked across the road and went close behind the old gentleman. Dawkins put his hand into the old man's pocket and take out a stuff.
they ran awey. Oliver lately ran away too. But Oliver was caght by someone. Oliver complained to the police. A clerk
of book store said he did nothing. So Oliver was helped by the man. Oliver was taken into a house and put to bed.
Fagin looked for Oliver.

A summary of the story
Jack took Oliver a house. There were an old gentleman and four or five boys there. The old man's name was Fagin.
Fagin gave Oliver a bed on the floor and he fell asleep immediately. Late next morning, Oliver woke from long asleep.
Then Oliver watched Fagin through half-closed eyes. He placed a box carefully on the table. He took an expensive
gold watch from the box with pleasure. Then He noticed Oliver who was looking at him. He threatened Oliver that
this was mine. Jack and another boy had commited various tefts. From now on Oliver had to commit a theft too.

A summary of the story
Oliver didn't where to go. he remembered walking along this path with Mr Bumble, and he took the
same road. soon he passed the workhouse. Oliver said goodbye to one of his old friends and oliver kept
walking again. He had heard people talk about London. They said that a boy need not to be poor and hungry
there. It was a good place for a homeless boy to go, he told himself. So Oliver decided to go there. Early on the
seventh morning, Oliver walked slowly into the little town of Barnet, a few miles from London. Oliver met a boy.
The boy's name was Jack. He helped Oliver who was weak.

A summary of the story
Oliver was a prisoner in that cold, dark room for a whole week. One day, Mr Bumble met Mr Sowerberry.
Mr Bumble sold Oliver to him for five ponds. Oliver came to Mr sowerberry' shop. He opened adoor and pushed
Oliver down some stairs into a dark room. The living here was also awful for Oliver. One morning Oliver heard a
noise somebody knocked the shop door. Oliver opened the door. Then a large boy sit in front of the house. He was
Noah Claypole. He made Oliver work under him. No longer able to stand their violence, Oliver left home.

A summary of the story
There was a house for poor people who had no money and nowhere to live in a town in England.
This was called the workhouse. Oliver Twist was born in there. At the age of nine, Oliver was a pale,
thin child. He and the other workhouse boys never had enough warm clothes or food. They were given
only three meals of thin soup every day. One day Oliver decided that ask master for more soup. In the
evening, he went to the master with his bowl and spoon in his hands. And said "I want some more."
He took Oliver away and shut him in a dark room. (continued next time.)

The wrong pictures

A summary of the story
Alex noticed a small crowd of people standing outside the gallery. They all seemed to be holding cameras.  Alex and Brad got into the gallery round the back so that they wouldn't be seen by people. Alex didn't know what was going on. So Brad handed her a newspaper. The newspaper said "BRIGHTON GALLERY IN FORGERY SCANDAL." In fact it turned out that all of the Ralph Blackman paintings he bought were fakes. Then some of journalists entered. Alex and Brad went outside to escape from them. (continued next time.)

A summary of the story
In the restaurant, Alex was waiting for Barry while thinking that she break up with him. just then
Tania Stevenson came in. she was Brad' girlfriend. After a while Brad came in too. Alex thought that
she wants Barry to come here as quickly as possible. After some time he came in while saying "Happy
Birthday!". She was celebrated her birthday by Barry. On the other hand Brad and Tania's table had an
argument . Then they lef the restaurant. Next morning she went to my work. She has no idea why Brad
and Tania had a argument. She was on her way to work and he bang straight into someone. That was Brad.
He looked troubled while looking up the road in the direction of the gallery, and She felt that something was

A summary of the story
She was in her parents' home. Alex's mum liked Mr Courtney much better than Barry because Barry was a bit boring.
She had wanted Alex to have an exciting life. Alex couldn't imagine Brad meeting her parents at all. Brad though Alex was strange so he would surely think that her parents were very, very strange. Alex' mum gave her her a birthday present. It was the biggest vase she had ever seen. She got home and took a nap. She woke up at seven o'clock! She was supposed to be meeting Barry in a restaurant. Diana suggested her to write your book.so Alex decided to write it as soon as she get home from

The cafe door opens.It's Arthur Grant,one of the gallery artists.He paints
landscape and is one of Brad' most successful clients.He looks angry as well as
unhappy because Brad was rate too.He told Brad he won't be showing his paintings
at the Courtney Art Gallery any other month.Then he has gone.Brad was despressed
and say "take the rest of the day off" and he has gone.She leave the cafe.
She went on walking for a while and met her friend 'Diana'. She work for delivery flowers. She suggested Alex that you visit
your mother to next flower delivery.and She agreed with this.

I've read a book called "All I want". From now I'll Introduce to you about characters.

Barry:Alex Faye's boyfriend.
Diana:Alex Faye's close friend.
Tania Stevenson: Brad Courtney's girlfriend.

A sumary of the story
Alex is thirty . But she had a long list of things she wanted to do before she was thirty.
Actually, now she've got two lists, her original list and a new one, because three weeks ago
her life changed forever by meeting her boss , Brad.Yes, she fell madly in love with him.

HOW TO LEARN ENGLISH



I agree with this.I think the most important thing to learn english is to keep reading english books. A english teacher said " Just reading many english books as possible you can. To reading books without a dictionary will make progress in your english. Most japanese student do not read books. So I think they should read them, or their english skill will be poor I think.Actually I do not read english books. So I aim at reading books as possible I can.







overemphasize:~を過度に強調する。Grammar is often overemphasized.

in order to:~するために I got up in order to go to the school.

equivalent:同等のもの what is the English equivalent of ~.

confidence:信頼 You can use it with confidence.
